You can't spell TINT without TNT.
Beat the Heat on Every Drive Through Williamsport
Driving around Hagerstown without window tint is a bit like living in a fishbowl. Everyone can see you, the sun is constantly in your eyes, and your car turns into a hot box the second you park it for more than five minutes.
At
TNT Tinting and Autostyling, we fix all of that. We aren't just slapping dark stickers on glass. We are installing high-performance window film that transforms your driving experience. Whether you want to block out the heat or protect your interior from fading. We’ve been tinting cars in the Hagerstown area since 2015, and we’ve won "Best of the Tristate" two years running because we obsess over the details so you don't have to.

BENEFITS
What Window Tint Actually Does for You
Heat Rejection
This is the big one. You know the feeling. You come out of work or the grocery store, open the door, and a wall of hot air hits you before you can even sit down. The seatbelt buckle is too hot to touch, and the steering wheel is worse. Our premium films, especially the ceramic options, block a serious amount of infrared heat. Your air conditioner doesn't have to fight as hard, and your car stops turning into a furnace every time you park it. During a humid Washington County summer, that difference is hard to overstate.
UV Protection
Regular car glass lets through more UV radiation than most people realize. That's rough on your interior, and it adds up on your skin over years of daily driving. Our premium window tints block up to 99% of UVA and UVB rays, which works like sunscreen for both you and your vehicle. Less UV means dashboards that don't crack, leather that doesn't dry out, and door panels that hold their color instead of fading a shade every summer.
Glare Reduction
Heading north on I-81 in the late afternoon is a genuine problem, and so is a set of oncoming headlights on Route 11 after dark.
Window tint knocks down glare from both. Your eyes stop working overtime, and the drive gets calmer and safer. No more flipping the visor around trying to find the one angle that helps.
Privacy and Security
Sometimes you just want to be left alone. Tint puts a barrier between you and everyone outside the car. It also keeps wandering eyes off whatever is sitting in your back seat. If someone walks past your car at the boat ramp or a trailhead lot and can't tell what's inside, they're far more likely to keep walking.

Why Factory Glass Isn't Enough
Plenty of newer trucks and SUVs roll off the lot with what the dealer calls privacy glass on the back windows. It looks dark, and it does hide your cargo. But don't let it fool you. That's dyed glass, and dyed glass does close to nothing against heat or UV rays. It's a shade, not a shield.
Professional window film is a different animal. It's an engineered material, and even our lightest shades reject a real amount of solar energy while blocking 99% of UV. Factory glass just makes things darker. Our film makes things cooler and safer. If you like the look you already have, we can match the front windows to your factory rear glass for a seamless finish, or lay a clear ceramic layer over the factory tint so you get the heat rejection without changing how the vehicle looks at all.
Why You Should Leave It to the Pros
We've all seen that car. Purple back windows, bubbles crawling across the glass, a corner peeling up like old wallpaper. That's what a cheap install or a DIY kit from the parts store gets you. Tinting looks easy from the outside, and it isn't. It takes patience, a steady hand, and a clean space to work in.
At our Hagerstown shop, we treat the install like the detailed job it is. We clean the glass thoroughly, more than once, so nothing gets trapped under the film. We heat-shrink the tint to the exact curve of your windows before the liner ever comes off. For most vehicles, we use computer-cut patterns, which means no razor blade goes anywhere near your rubber seals or your paint.
Those precise patterns get lined up to the top edge of the glass for a true factory-finished look, with no ugly gap when the window rolls down. We stand behind our work with different levels of warranty coverage, including options that last as long as you own the vehicle. We'd rather do it right the first time than see you back here fixing someone else's shortcut.
Window Tint FAQ's
Do you tint vehicles for Williamsport customers?
Yes. Our shop is in Hagerstown, just up the road, and we tint for drivers all over Washington County, including Williamsport, Halfway, Falling Waters, and the surrounding area. Give us a call, and we'll get you on the schedule.
How long does a tint job take?
A standard four-door car or SUV takes about 1 to 2 hours. Just the two front windows usually runs 30 to 45 minutes. We won't rush the cleaning or the fitting, so we'd rather quote you honestly than hand your car back with dust under the film.
Is window tint legal in Maryland?
Yes, within limits. Sedans in Maryland can run 35% VLT (Visible Light Transmission) on all side and rear windows. SUVs and trucks can run 35% on the front two windows and go as dark as you want behind the front seats. We know the law well and we'll help you pick a shade that keeps you out of trouble.
Can I roll my windows down right after?
Not right away. Fresh film needs time to cure, and rolling the window down too early can shift it. We'll give you the exact instructions for your vehicle when you pick it up, so just follow what your installer tells you. If waiting isn't practical for you, ask about our Express Roll Down add-on and you can roll them down as soon as you leave.
Will tint mess with my GPS, radio, or cell signal?
Not with ours. Older metallic films could cause interference, but our carbon and ceramic films are non-metalized. Your GPS, satellite radio, and phone will work exactly the same as before.
Should I clean my car before I bring it in?
A generally clean car is appreciated, but don't bother scrubbing the glass. We have our own cleaning process built into every install. What does help is clearing out the back seat and pulling any car seats or personal items so we have room to work.
Ready to Cool Your Car Down?
Whether you're commuting into Hagerstown every morning, running the kids around town, or just tired of your truck baking in the driveway, we'll help you pick the right film and install it properly the first time. Give us a
call or send over a quote request and we'll walk you through your options.
